VIDEO CASE STUDY: Mistakes Many Candidates Make with Political Campaign Mailers
Mail is a major part of many winning campaigns, especially those for local office. In today’s case study we take a look at two mostly positive mailers in the Pasadena City Council race between appointed incumbent Andy Wilson and his most serious challenger, Phil Hosp.
As we did in the last video case study in this contest on their signs, this video examine a mailer from Wilson’s campaign and one from Hosp’s so you can see what you should and what you should not be doing with your mailers.
These two campaigns unfortunately provided many opportunities to point out the mistakes many candidates make on their mailers. It’s my hope that you’ll learn from their mistakes and send much better mail in your campaign.
At this link you can find the 7 Rules for Winning with Glossy Mailers that is referenced in this video case study.
In addition to following those rules, don’t forget that all of your mail should contain the 6 Pillars of a Winning Campaign Story.
Please let me know what you thought of my assessment of their mailers. I’d enjoy hearing your perspective.
